My mother and I (Irene Gibson) started this outreach ministry in 2005. We have prayed to be used by God and he saw fit to put us in the nursing home as workers for Him. We are Blessed each and every time we visit these loved ones. They are always so happy to see us walk through the door because they know when they see us, they are going to get their nails polished or their hair brushed or just someone to talk and laugh with. We ask them about their lives before they came to Maple Ridge and about their children, grand children and great grand children. They just want someone to talk to that cares about them.
If you really want to be a blessing, visit your neighborhood nursing home today and feel the love and warmth behind those doors. I thank God today for people that say “God send me and I will go”.
